Meet the Innkeepers

Ray & Judy Braz

We often say that we didn’t choose innkeeping—innkeeping chose us.

Ray, a Fall River native, began his career as a middle school English teacher before moving into corporate life at Mattel Toys. Judy, originally from Jamaica Plain in Boston built her career in customer service and billing. A business trip sparked the dream of owning an Inn, and our love of hosting family gatherings made hospitality feel like a natural fit.

In 1996, while searching the Boston Globe, we discovered The Old Harbor Inn in Chatham. The moment we arrived, we fell in love with the property. By June of that year, we had purchased the inn, moved in, and welcomed our very first guests.

Nearly three decades later, our Chatham bed and breakfast remains a true labor of love. We live on site, greet every guest personally, and are always available to help plan Cape Cod adventures. Over the years, we’ve made lifelong friendships, welcomed returning guests season after season, and shared the beauty of Chatham and Cape Cod with travelers from around the world.

When you stay at The Old Harbor Inn, you’ll experience more than just a place to sleep—you’ll enjoy warm Cape Cod hospitality in the heart of Chatham.
