5 Changes we’re making at The Old Harbor Inn before reopening

It’s been over a year since the world as we know it turned upside down. Surreal is an understatement, but with vaccines, masks, and everyone practicing social distancing, we will beat this public crisis. We are just days away from re-opening for our 25th Anniversary season and we wanted to share some of the changes we’ve made to ensure the health and safety of our guests.

Enhanced Cleaning Procedure

We’ve always gone above and beyond where cleanliness is concerned. The Inn is currently undergoing a deep spring cleaning that takes over a month to complete. From deep cleaning and sanitizing soft and hard surfaces, to window washing and replacing bedding and mattresses, the Inn transforms to welcome you. We will continue offering our housekeeping and turn down services for those who request it, and if you prefer just fresh towels, we will simply leave a bag on your door.

Better Communication

Email confirmations for The Old Harbor Inn will now be even more informative! You will receive a reminder email from us a few days prior to arrival with a check-in form where you can tell us all of your preferences for your stay. We will also provide information regarding what restaurants are open, attractions, and ideas for things to do. We eliminated all print materials from the rooms, and now offer a digital Guest Book where you will find answers to most of your travel questions.  We believe that planning ahead and knowing what is available to you will give you the peace of mind you are looking for during your next stay.

Contactless Self Check-In

The front desk staff at the Inn expertly creates the most welcoming and hospitable check-in for our guests. However, during this strange time, we’ve decided to offer a contactless check-in that you can add to your reservation when booking on our website. Instructions will be sent via a confirmation email outlining directions to your room, breakfast options, and additional information about the area.

More Breakfast Options

To add to your level of comfort, we now offer more options for our complimentary breakfast. You can choose from in-room breakfast, to-go breakfast, or outdoor breakfast on our heated deck. The main breakfast room will also remain open with socially distanced seating. Breakfast is made to order and served to each guest individually.

Flexible Cancellation Policy

We have relaxed our Cancellation Policy to give you flexibility and peace of mind to book your vacation.  For new and existing reservations, you may cancel within 14 days of your arrival for a full refund, less a $75 credit card processing fee.  We also offer the option of moving your stay to new dates, based on availability.  If you still need to cancel, we offer the option of a credit toward a future stay, with a bonus of 10% of the room cost.

In 2020 we worked hard to ensure that The Old Harbor Inn is a clean and safe place to get away to. Now, we’re doing, even more, to make your Old Harbor Inn stay as safe as possible. Every member of our staff wears a mask at all times. All the guests are required to wear masks and practice social distancing. Sanitation stations with complimentary hand sanitizers, masks, and sanitizing wipes are available throughout the Inn. Guest safety and satisfaction are, and always will be, our top priority.
